Last year was the kick-off of our yearly Go-Box Challenge. Despite the uncooperative weather we still had good turnout.
The challenge is meant to allow our club members to show off their Go-Boxes and power Stations. To share with the group what you use in the field and for us to see what others have and use as Go-Box and gear. The box needs to be field deployable and you should have made some contacts with it before the challenge.
We will set the gear up on tables in the back space meeting area but we will not fully deploy the antenna systems. We can show a representation of the antenna system.
We will have two categories and there will be special certificates for 1ST and 2ND place finishers. The participants will receive votes by all the attendees and the winners will be decided by the number of votes. Categories are as follows:
Go-Box: This includes your radio, power, and antenna system. It can be gear you tote in a backpack or something you put together in a container of some sort.
Power Systems: This is any special power system you have put together to operate portable in the field. As with the Go-Boxes, it can be gear you tote in a backpack or something you put together in a container of some sort. \
Thanks and I hope you join the Challenge. If you have any questions, or need help with something, reach out to me.
