JOTA (Jamboree-on-the-Air) October 18, 2025

JOTA is a great time to share Ham Radio with some local youth. We will have 4 stations and event details are below (subject to change).

We currently have leads for the stations but if you want to help out let us know.

We could use help having people monitor the 147.285 repeater and talk to the scouts when we call CQ. If you want to help out let us know.

Location: East Seminole County VFW Post 10139, 300 Lake Mills Ave, Chuluota, FL 32766

Event Date / Times: October 18, 2025 // Time: 11.30-1.00 (We will be there early to set up and start operating by 11.30)

Goal: Share Ham Radio and help the youth make contacts for JOTA, Jamboree-on-the-Air..

Activities and Operating:

• We will setup Hams in the Park operate HF. JOTA frequencies that are below.
• Make contacts local via the 147.285 VHF repeater.
• FT8 on the standard frequencies
• Fox hunting..
• Share Ham Radio with the participants: What it is, how it work, and what you can do with it.
• We will operate our stations under our own personal call signs.
